SEC: Florida gets Pease; Vandy improves to 2-0

Brent Pease

Reports out of Florida say the Gators have sealed the deal with former UK offensive coordinator Brent Pease to be the Gators’ offensive boss. Pease directed the UK offense under Guy Morriss at Kentucky in 2001-02. He was currently the OC at Boise State. He replaces Charlie Weis, who left Gainesville to become the head coach at Kansas.

In basketball, Vanderbilt improved to 2-0 by winning at South Carolina in Columbia. Florida evened its record at 1-1 by handling Georgia in Gainesville.
