Check out UK basketball targets today on ESPNU

The Martin Luther King Holiday makes for an elongated and interesting day of televised basketball today.

On the college side, Louisville travels to Marquette for a rare Monday afternoon 3:30 start on ESPN. The day’s marquee game comes tonight at 9:30 when Baylor takes on Kansas.

Anthony Bennett leads Findlay Prep (NV) against Jabari Parker and Simeon (IL) at 3 p.m.

UK’s Anthony Davis was reportedly at the game, as well.

This news comes despite the fact that playing two top teams the past two Saturdays, Davis has averaged just 6.5 points and 1.5 blocks per game.

Forget your fear for 2012. So John Calipari’s back pocket contains no commitments. He’ll pull something out. He always does. It will be good. Most likely, it will be better than good. Relax.

Turn your attention to 2013. That’s the graduating class for the best individual high school basketball player in America. So the experts say. His name is Jabari Parker. And Seth Davis of SI.com writes on him from the Peach Jam.
