Spotlighting UK fans on twitter: @bradcundiff

Brad_reasonably_smallOur spotlighting UK fans on twitter feature today shines the light on Brad Cundiff.

You can find him @bradcundiff.

His twitter tag line says:  ”married, conservative Christian web programmer, jv bball coach, redsox fan, UK bball fanatic. tweets about politics, sports, Christianity; random thoughts.”

He’s an active tweeter, having sent out 11,331 as of this morning. Many of them deal with politics. But plenty more deal with the Cats, of course, and yes Brad was tweeting  during the exhibition games the last two nights.

Here’s one of his from Monday night:  ”@keithtaylor21 seeing Naz at FT lines brings back ’97 Final Four. sigh.”

When asked for some bio info, Brad sent it along via tweets:

Spotlighting UK fans on twitter: @wyldcatgirl

Today marks the second installment of UK fans on twitter.

The spotlight is on Lisa Starks, a.ka. @wyldcatgirl on twitter.

Here is her twitter tag line: “Jeep driving, Glock toting, Vegetarian Runner with a love of Classic Muscle Cars and a Kentucky Wildcats Obsession!”

You can tell. As of Monday, Lisa was credited with 11,201 tweets. She’s also on 53 lists. And with a little push, she’s not that far away from 1,000 followers.

When I asked her for some bio info, she sent along this:

My hometown is believe it or not, the middle of Roll Tide/War Eagle country in the ‘Rocket City’ – Huntsville, Alabama & I’ve never lived more than 10 miles from there my entire life. My day job is in property management with a large multi-family housing company but my dream job is lottery winner so I could stop working and make my hobbies my full time job.

I’ve been a UK fan since the day I saw my first ever football game at the unbelievable (at least for growing up in Alabama where football is it’s own religion) age of 29. Yes, you read that right, I’d never seen a football game more than in passing on television at a bar before I was 29 years old. I simply didn’t grow up in a sports (or TV of any kind for that matter) watching house, the only reason I knew ESPN existed was because they’d show golf on Sunday afternoons and my dad was a golfing nut.

Spotlighting UK fans on twitter: @LeeWeatherly

Starting today, we’ll be spotlighting UK fans on twitter.

With any luck, this will be a Monday-Friday feature in which we spotlight one twitter follower, who also just happens to be a Kentucky basketball fan or Kentucky football fan or both.

You don’t have to follow me (@johnclayiv) to qualify, but it’s the easiest way to get my attention. You can also e-mail me (jclay@herald-leader.com) with recommendations, suggestions, etc.

Today we start with Lee Weatherly, a UK Law School grad and Charleston, South Carolina attorney whose twitter feed is @LeeWeatherly.

When asked for some bio info, Lee replied:

I was born in Louisville (to two UofL grads!) but grew up in London where I played basketball for Steve Wright at South Laurel. I went to Centre College in Danville (where I was a human victory cigar for the basketball team…if I got in, someone was getting blown out!) and then to UK for law school.
