Podcast: Kentucky-Vanderbilt football preview

Time for this week’s podcast, where I talked to Jennifer Smith of the Herald-Leader and Adam Sparks of the Tennessean about Saturday’s Kentucky-Vanderbilt game in Nashville, which can be seen at 4 p.m. on the SEC Network.

Adam talked about how well Vanderbilt has played on defense and how poorly the Commodores have played on offense. He gave an overview of the Vandy quarterback situation heading into Saturday and how VU fans feel about head coach Derek Mason, who is in his second season in Nashville.

Jennifer and I discussed the Kentucky quarterback situation, how much of the offense’s problems go back to Patrick Towles’ play and the Cats’ mindset in the midst of this four-game losing streak.
