INDIANAPOLIS — Luke Hancock wasn’t quite right for the game in Lexington. His off-season had been spent rehabbing a groin injury. Then he sprained an ankle in the early part of Louisville’s campaign. When the 2013 Final Four’s Most Outstanding Player came to Rupp Arena on December 28, he wasn’t yet himself.
It showed, too. Hancock made just three of 11 shots, including just two of eight from three-point range. When he looks back at the tape, he said Thursday, he barely recognizes the player that was part of the Cards’ 73-66 loss to the Cats.
He talks about that in this video from the U of L locker room, as well as how the key for the Cards on Friday night is finding a way to keep Kentucky off the glass.
