South Carolina suspends Frank Martin over language

Remember the post on Wednesday about Frank Martin being caught on camera cursing out one of his South Carolina players during Tuesday night’s loss to Florida?

The basketball coach of the Gamecocks has been suspended for Saturday’s game with Mississippi State, the school announced this afternoon.

“The one-game suspension is a result of inappropriate verbal communication as it relates to the well-being of our student-athletes,” South Carolina Athletic Director Ray Tanner said in a statement.

It’s the first suspension of the volatile Martin’s career.
