Aaron Harrison and James Young were the two players made available for the Kentucky basketball media opportunity at the Joe Craft Center today.
Aaron talked about his brother Andrew’s “breakout game” on Saturday when Andrew scored 26 points in the win over Tennessee. Aaron also talked about being the only player to miss a free throw when UK went 23-of-24 from the foul line. He said he tweaked his ankle, but everything is fine, and that he is starting to enjoy the game more.
“I enjoy winning a lot, so we’re starting to get it all together,” he said. “I guess we’re starting to have more fun. We’re learning how playing hard together is more fun that just playing well individually and not winning.”
James Young was asked about correcting the form of his shot during games and how he has learned how to do that. He has a habit of getting his shoulders too far back on his shot.
Young also talked about guarding Tennessee’s Jordan McRae on Saturday. McRae finished with 17 points, but hit just five of 14 shots from the floor, including just one of seven three-point attempts.
