Alabama was most-watched UK football game this season

Hat tip to Seth Emerson of the Macon Telegraph who posted a story on Georgia football’s TV ratings for this college football season and how the injured but exciting Bulldogs pulled in a sizable viewing audience.

That led us to use the same source┬áto take a look at Kentucky football’s TV ratings this past year. Turns out more people watched Alabama’s 48-7 win over Kentucky┬áback on Oct. 12 than any other UK football game this season.

Here are the ratings for UK’s nationally televised games this year, with audience and ratings share:

  • Sept. 14 – Louisville at UK (ESPN) 2.28M 1.5
  • Sept. 21 – Florida at UK (ESPNU) 950K 0.5
  • Oct. 12 – Alabama at UK (ESPN2) 2.56M 1.5
  • Oct. 24 – UK at Miss State (ESPN) 1.33M 0.9
  • Nov. 9 – Missouri at UK (ESPNU) 587K 0.4
  • Nov. 23 – UK at Georgia (ESPNU) 953K 0.5
