Georgia’s Aaron Murray gunning for another milestone

When Kentucky plays in Athens on Saturday night it will be sort of a big deal for the host Bulldogs in that it will be the final home game for senior Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray.

Just last Saturday, Murray climbed another notch in Georgia football lore by leading the Bulldogs on a fierce comeback that turned a 37-17 deficit into a 38-37 lead over host Auburn when Murray scrambled five yards for a touchdown on fourth-and-goal, only to lose 43-37 when Auburn scored on a 73-yard pass play.

After setting SEC career records for completions, passing yards, touchdowns and total offense, Murray needs only 108 yards passing to reach 3,000 yards for the fourth consecutive season.

Last season, Murray threw for 427 yards as Georgia beat UK 29-24 in Commonwealth Stadium.
