BBL: Tubby Smith loses in return to Tuscaloosa

When Georgia plays Auburn on Saturday, the Bulldogs will see a familiar face on the opposite sideline. Longtime Georgia assistant Rodney Garner now coaches the defensive line for the Tigers.

Mel Kiper, Jr. says that Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray has mildly improved his draft stock. Kiper has Murray going anywhere from the third to the sixth round.

More than miles separate Starkville from Tuscaloosa as Mississippi State takes on top-ranked Alabama on Saturday.

Texas A&M’s special teams are steadily improving.

LSU’s women were no match for Louisville on Thursday night in a WNIT semifinal. U of L went on a 21-0 run in the second half and won 88-67.

In his first game on a national stage, Florida point guard Kasey Hill had his shortcomings exposed on Tuesday night. Hill made just two of 11 shots in the Gators’ loss to Wisconsin.

Arkansas guard Ky Madden is scheduled to make his season debut tonight when the Razorbacks play Louisiana-Lafayette. Madden has been serving a three-game suspension.
