This is not a repeat: Vanderbilt loses leading scorer

Update: Jeff Lockridge tweets ”Vandy releases statement, PG Kedren Johnson says he is gone from school for one year for ‘very poor judgment.’”

After news this morning that Vanderbilt sophomore Kevin Bright had signed with a pro team in Germany, now news comes that the Commodores have lost their leading scorer.

Jeff Lockridge of the Tennessean reports that Kedren Johnson is no longer on the Vanderbilt basketball team. Johnson told Lockridge it was a “student conduct” matter.

Johnson averaged 13.5 points per game last year for Kevin Stallings’ club.
