Kentucky-Alabama last 10 meetings

Since we just looked at Alabama’s 10-year trend, and UK faces the Crimson Tide Oct. 12 in Lexington, here’s a look at how Kentucky has fared against Alabama the last 10 times the two teams have met. It hasn’t been good.

Alabama has won nine of the 10. UK’s lone win was the 40-34 overtime victory over the Tide in 1997, Hal Mumme’s first season as the Cats’ head coach. In fact, since 1972, UK has lost 11 of 12 to the Crimson Tide.

Rich Brooks had the poor fortune to face Alabama four times, losing all four. Joker Phillips did not play Bama in his three years as head coach. This year’s meeting will be the first between the two SEC schools since 2009.
