Gary Henderson’s record as UK baseball coach

Kentucky’s 4-1 loss to Ole Miss today in the SEC Baseball Tournament was probably the end of a disappointing baseball season for the Cats. UK was 22-6 after beating host Louisville 5-4 back on April 2. After that, Kentucky went just 8-19 overall and 5-17 in the SEC if you include today’s loss.

Gary Henderson is now 159-124 overall as the UK coach for a winning percentage of .562. He is 62-88 in SEC regular-season play for a winning percentage of .413. In five seasons, he has taken UK to one NCAA Tournament, that being last season when the Cats went 45-18 but did lose seven of their last 11 games.

Henderson has gone 28-26, 31-25, 25-30, 45-18 and 30-25 overall in his five years as head coach. His teams have gone 12-18, 13-17, 8-22, 18-12 and 11-19 in SEC play.
