This is an important halftime as John Calipari has to find a way to stop Missouri off the dribble. The quicker Tigers have repeatedly beaten UK to the basket.

But considering that UK has had trouble in that area and the Tigers led 28-15, Kentucky has to feel pretty good to be down just 35-31 at the half.

Ryan Harrow had a terrific first half, scoring 12 points. Alex Poythress has chiped in 10. UK missed its first seven three-point shots before Julius Mays finally buried one from the top of the key. And the Cats  have had problems at the foul line, missing five of their first seven. UK is seven-of-12 on free throws at the break.

Phil Pressey, the Tigers’ lightning-quick point guard, has nine points and three assists for Missouri. Missouri has a 27-18 advantage on the boards and has 12 offensive rebounds to UK’s 14 defensive boards.
