That’s a wrap: Tennessee 88, Kentucky 58

Quick thoughts:

What it means: UK drops to 17-8 overall and 8-4 in the SEC. It’s the second straight loss for the Cats after Tuesday night’s loss at Florida. Kentucky is now 0-1 without Nerlens Noel.

What I liked: Not much. Jarrod Polson had a stretch in second half where he hit some shots and competed. That’s about it.

What I didn’t like: Instead of rallying together after the loss of Nerlens Noel, Kentucky split apart. There was little cohesion, little fight, especially in the first half as Tennessee took control. It went from bad to worse when assistant coach John Robic was teed up and tossed by official Doug Shows. The Cats got little to nothing from guards Archie Goodwin and Ryan Harrow. At one point, John Calipari told Goodwin, “I can’t coach you.”

What’s next: Licking its wounds, Kentucky comes home to play Vanderbilt on Wednesday at Rupp.
