In case you haven’t noticed, Florida has become borderline ridiculous. Maybe not even borderline. Last night in Gainesville, the Gators held South Carolina to 10 first-half points. True, South Carolina is bad. But we’re talking 10 points.
Not only is Florida 7-0 in the SEC, but the Gators have not won a conference game by less than 17 points. They have won four of the seven by at least 30 points. In their first seven conference games, the Gators have not given up more than 52 points in a single game.
Ole Miss travels to Gainesville on Saturday. The Rebels do so without key reserve Aaron Jones, out for the year with an ACL injury. Plus, Andy Kennedy’s club is coming off a confidence-sapping 87-74 loss to visiting Kentucky.
