There will be someone special in the stands on Saturday when Kentucky visits College Station to play Texas A&M.
Our old friend Billy Gillispie will be there.
The former Kentucky coach has accepted an invitation from Aggies coach Billy Kennedy to check out his former team against his other former team. Gillispie coached Texas A&M before leaving to become UK’s head coach, a career move that just didn’t work out.
Gillispie told Brad Townsend of the Dallas Morning News, “It’s two coaches that I have a great deal of respect for, and I want to watch their teams play.”
After being forced out at Texas Tech, Gillispie says, “Things couldn’t be going any better.”

Just don’t let him coach anybody!
I can understand why A&M would invite him back. He won there and he wasn’t as crazy as he became later.
All I can say is thank God for Cal.

What’s the cover charge for him and how many free ones does he get? Maybe he should invite Barnhart to join him.
Keep him away from our players!
