Back on January 12, Elston Turner turned in the game of his life at Rupp Arena, scoring 40 points to lead Texas A&M to an 83-71 win over Kentucky.
Alas, the Aggies’ guard has had a tough time of it since then. After making 14 of 19 shots against the Cats, including six-of-10 from beyond the three-point line, Turner has thrown in a couple of clunkers since.
He was 1-of-10 from the floor next time out against Florida. Then last night, at LSU, Turner was just one-of-seven from the floor, including one-of-six from three, as A&M lost at LSU 58-54.
Turner scored 40 points against Kentucky, including 25 in the first half.
He has scored a grand total of 22 points in three games since.
