Next UK football recruit to watch: Ben Bradley

After signing junior college defensive end standout Za’Darius Smith, new Kentucky coach Mark Stoops has apparently set his sights on another top junior college defensive lineman.

Ben Bradley, a 6-foot-2, 315-pound defensive tackle who played at Hutchinson Coummunity College in Kansas will visit Kentucky this weekend then decide among UK, Auburn, Nebraska, Missouri and Tennessee.

Bradley was going to decide on Wednesday but pushed back the decision to visit Kentucky and Auburn. He wants to decide before next week so he can enroll in January. UK’s spring semester classes begin on January 9.

Signing Bradley to go along with Smith would be a major upgrade to the UK defensive line. It would also show the recruiting power of Stoops, who built the nation’s second-ranked defense last year at Florida State.

This is Monday morning and I haven’t heard anything about him signing on at UK but the day isn’t over yet, let’s keep our fingers crossed. I will say this for Stoops getting any top recruit to consider UK is a major upgrade, however near misses doesn’t bring home the bacon! Get’re done Mark! GO CATS!!!

His Auburn visit is scheduled for the Jan. 5th, so i would suppose the announcement would follow that. So let us be patient, we are still in the running, unlike his list on 247 for Tennessee which says “no interest”. We like all the other schools are listed as “warm” so far.
