Neal Brown appeared on Double T 104.3 in Lubbock about an hour ago and the Texas Tech offensive coordinator called “definitely premature” reports that he might be Mark Stoops’ new offensive coordinator at Kentucky.
“I don’t want to really talk about any other jobs,” Brown said in the interview. “That’s the link because that’s where I’m from and that’s where I played and I get that.”
Stoops is believed to be talking to both Brown and Texas Tech running backs coach Chad Scott today. Both played at UK. Tim Couch, who helped UK AD Mitch Barnhart in the search that ended with the Stoops hire, has said he believes that Brown, who coordinated the nation’s No. 2 passing offense, would be interested in returning to Lexington.
