Podcast: Rick Bozich on U of L’s move to the ACC

With the big news this morning that Louisville is leaving the Big East for the ACC, I dialed up my good friend Rick Bozich, who was on his way back home from seeing Indiana dominate North Carolina last night in Bloomington.

Rick talked about how the move came about and what it means for Louisville football and basketball. He also gave his impressions of top-ranked Indiana. Check his work out at WDRB.com.

As a lifelong fan of the ACC—I just wanted to say WELCOME to our great conference— the Univ. of Louisville Cardinals!!! I am a huge fan of the ACC’s Wake Forest Demon Deacons and North Carolina Tar Heels—and people down here in the great state of North Carolina is excited about the Louisville Cardinal becoming an outstanding member of our beloved Atlantic Coast Conference!! The Maryland Terrapins may have been a charter member of the ACC in 1953 but we think that Louisville will make a much stronger addition to the ACC!! GO CARDINIALS and the ACC!!

Congratulations to UL. However, the ACC’s selling point of selecting members with high academic standards is out the window. They have jumped head first into the muddy waters of a”football driven” money only membership requirement.
