Michael Kidd-Gilchrist’s huge night

In case you missed it, ex-UK star Michael Kidd-Gilchrist had a monster night on Saturday as the Charlotte Bobcats knocked off the visiting Dallas Mavericks 101-97 in overtime.

MKG scored 25 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, blocked two shots and made a steal.

“It’s getting more and more comfortable. I’m starting to get everything,” said Kidd-Gilchrist after the win. “I love my coaching.”

That would be new Charlotte coach Mike Dunlap, the former St. John’s head coach.

Dunlap said of MKG’s no-fear drives to the basket, “He’s gone into crowds with some trepidation, some hesitancy. But people have a way of bouncing off him.”
