At his weekly press luncheon today, Kentucky football coach Joker Phillips said that freshman quarterback Patrick Towles has been cleared and will attempt to practice this week.
The former Highlands star has played only three series in the Mississippi State game, suffering a high ankle sprain on the third series. He led UK to a touchdown, completing all five of his pass attempts in the first series.
Asked if he would play Towles this week at Missouri, Phillips said that if the freshman can practice, he will play.
