Before the football season, UK Coach Joker Phillips brought in communications guru Steve Shenbaum to help with some team-building exercises. The cynical would argue that that move didn’t work too well, but considering the football team’s youth, injuries and difficult schedule, it’s hard to blame a communications guru.
And UK basketball coach John Calipari posted yesterday on Twitter that he, too, is using Shenbaum, and that the guru helped with the team’s practice on Sunday.

You might remember Shenbaum as a former actor who appeared in the TV seriesDharma and Greg and Beverly Hills 90210 and the movies American Pie and Big Fat Liar.
He developed communication strategies that he now uses with college athletic teams. He also helped the UK soccer teams when he was in Lexington earlier in the fall.
