My AP college football ballot for this week

As a voter in the AP college football poll, I dropped Arkansas from No. 9 to No. 20 after the Razorbacks lost to Louisiana-Monroe in overtime in Little Rock last night.

Turns out, my fellow poll voters dropped the Hogs all the way out of the rankings.

It was the biggest drop in the poll by a top 10 team since Michigan’s loss to Appalachian State in 2007.

Here’s an interesting aspect to voting in the poll.

Arkansas’ quarterback Tyler Wilson, left, departed the game with an “above the shoulder” injury. Afterward, one report said Wilson had suffered a broken collarbone and would miss the next 3-4 weeks. The report was later rescinded.

Wilson’s injury last night not only had an effect on Arkansas’ upset loss, but it will surely play a role in the Razorbacks’ future.¬†For example, Arkansas is to play host to No. 1-ranked Alabama next week. Right now, Arkansas says the quarterback’s status for that showdown is uncertain.

Do you downgrade Arkansas’ ranking because you do not expect the team to be as good without Wilson? Or do you wait and see what happens first?

Here’s my ballot for this week:
