The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal reports tonight that Texas Tech basketball coach Billy Gillispie has been released from the hospital.
Gillispie was admitted last weekend after he called 911 saying he believed he was having a heart attack or a stroke. The hospital said he was treated for high blood pressure.
The former Kentucky coach's hospitalization came at the same time news surfaced that Texas Tech basketball players had met with university officials to air grievances about Gillispie's treatment and practice habits.
More details of Gillispie's alleged treatment of players were reported this week.
