Three quick notes from UK’s football practice today:
1. Joker Phillips says he is looking forward to Saturday’s scheduled scrimmage and he would love to pick a starting quarterback afterward, but he’s not sure that will happen.
2. Phillips again talked up sophomore wide receiver DeMarco Robinson. “The guy who’s playing with the biggest difference that you notice the most confidence is the Robinson kid,” Phillips said. “We need for him to play like that tomorrow. We need for him to separate himself.”
3. Phillips was not happy with some after-play hitting and shoving that took place Friday. He said while he liked the fire, “Kentucky can’t beat Kentucky.”
