Vanderbilt steals Ryan White from Louisville

First line of a Card Chronicle post: “We officially have a problem.”

SEC coaches might be saying the same thing after Vanderbilt coach James Franklin swooped into Louisville and coaxed Trinity defensive back Ryan White to change his commitment from U of L to the Commodores.

White is a four-star recruit rated as one of the top five players in the state. Scout ranks him as the 15th best cornerback in the nation. Rivals ranked White No. 29 at his position.

According to Anchor of Gold, Vanderbilt now has four four-star prospects among its commitments.

Last Friday, Louisville lost out on Trinity defensive end Jason Hatcher, who committed to Southern Cal.
