Calipari’s daughter apologizes for Syracuse tweet

Erin Calipari, daughter of UK Coach John Calipari, got into a Twitter fight last night with a Syracuse fan in which she made a joke about child molestation accusations against Syracuse assistant Bernie Fine.

Andy Hutchins of SB Nation followed the Twitter exchange between @YankeesGod2722 and @TheErinCalipari which apparently started with a comment about Calipari’s vacated Final Four appearances.

This started with UK fans on Twitter making fun of Christine Donovan, wife of Florida coach Billy Donovan, who baked a cake to celebrate the Gators getting commitments from top 10 recruits Chris Walker and Kasey Hill.

Later, Erin Calipari tweeted an apology for her earlier tweet:

Obviously my texts last night were out of context, but still inappropriate. Sorry for anyone that I may have offended! Happy tuesday!

It would be wise for her to not get into exchanges such as these, but if someone called out my family on twitter, they’d get more than Cal’s babygirl dished out. To me, the Cuse offender is a criminal. Calipari was never even implemented directly in the vacating of those win reductions.
If he was, he wouldn’t be at UK now. End of story! Ms. Calipari was within her right to react to Mr New York God. What a goof!
