UK associate AD says Noel is fine academically

Larry Vaught of the Danville Advocate-Messenger is attending and participating in the 23rd annual UK convention in Franklin, Ohio. Vaught is also reporting.

Woolard is Kentucky’s associate athletics director for basketball operations, and he is squelching speculation that Noel, the incoming 7-foot shot-swapper might not reach the standards for academic eligibility this fall. After all, Noel is enrolled in summer classes back at Everett High School near Boston.

NBAdraft.net still has Noel ranked behind Indiana center Cody Zeller as the second-best NBA prospect for the 2013 draft.
