ESPN’s Andy Katz is reporting that former UK guard Sean Woods will interview for the Southern Miss coaching job today.

Woods coached Mississippi Valley to the NCAA Tournament’s First Four this year where it lost a lead late and was defeated by Western Kentucky. MVSU went 17-1 in its conference and 21-13 overall.

Katz reports that others in the mix at Southern Miss are assistant coach Steve Barnes, former Nebraska coach Doc Sadler, Middle Tennessee’s Kermit Davis, Wichita State assistant Greg Heiar, and UTEP head coach Tim Floyd.

The job opened when Larry Eustachy left for Colorado State.
