Individual UK player notes from last night’s game

Some individual player notes from Kentucky’s win at Mississippi State last night.

  • Anthony Davis had 13 points and 11 rebounds for his 12th double-double of the season
  • Davis blocked just two shots, his fewest since the loss to Indiana.
  • Michael Kidd-Gilchrist scored 18, after scoring four points each of the last two games.
  • MKG’s 18 points is his highest scoring total since he scored 24 against Louisville on Jan. 31.
  • Kidd-Gilchrist also had 11 rebounds for his sixth double-double of the year.
  • MKG has had three double-doubles in the last eight games.
  • Terrence Jones has made 18 of 33 shots from the floor over his last three games.

  • Doron Lamb played 33 minutes without turning the ball over.
  • Lamb has played 65 minutes over the last two games without a turnover.
  • Lamb is 17-of-18 from the free throw line over the last six games.
  • Darius Miller played 31 minutes, most in an SEC game this year.
  • It was the most minutes Miller has played since the Arkansas-Little Rock game, when he also played 31 on Jan. 3.
  • Miller played 31 minutes and did not commit a turnover.
  • Miller has made six of 13 three-point shots over his last two games.
  • Marquis Teague played just 23 minutes, his fewest since he played 23 against Penn State way back on Jan. 19.
  • Twany Beckham, who played his first two season at Mississippi State, did not play for Kentucky.

    not an individual player’s note-but MSU’s 41 first half points were the most by any opponent since UNC had 43 and this was the only other game this year an opponent scored more than 40 in the first half.
    Only 4 teams have scored more than 40 in the second half against the Cats- Indiana, Vandy, SCarolina and AK (the latter 2 after the game was out of reach).
