Michael Rudolph Clos aka Michael Rudolph – When I’m on Stage!!!
Comedian by Trade, Wildcat by the grace of God
I was born and raised in Bracken County, KY, yeah that’s right I was a Polar Bear…class of 1997. I know you don’t see too many polar bears running around Kentucky but Crusaders and Juggernauts aren’t very plentiful either..so don’t judge. I have been a fanatical member of this thing we call Big Blue Nation for my entire life. From Kenny Walker to Rex Chapman, Roger Harden to Wayne Turner, Ron Mercer to Jodie Meeks…I have always loved the Big Blue.
I cried and fainted when Laettner hit “The Shot”, I cheered obnoxiously in the 3rd row of UK’s defeat of the Cincinnati Bearcats in the 2005 NCAA tournament, and I once stood between Rick Pitino and John Calipari at a line of urinals at an AAU tournament in Cincinnati. (yeah, I kinda snuck in).
I am married and my beautiful wife Ashley is a die hard UK fan as well,…l have no children yet, but when I do you can bet that Adolph Heshimu-Shagari Clos will get all the ladies.
I am a comedian…a real one. I actually get paid to stand on stage and tell jokes. It’s not my “real” job yet, but I’m working on it. I was recently crowned the 2011 Funniest Person in Cincinnati after winning a summer long contest at Go Bananas Comedy Club, and I perform weekly at different venues around the Midwest. I am as passionate about my joke telling as I am about my Wildcats. I have my father to thank for that, he showed me from an early age that making people laugh and being a Wildcat were two important parts of being on this Earth.
I love Twitter..I try out jokes and connect with people that have helped my career take off (Shout out to @DaveTelep @EvanDanielScout, @BomaniJones and @DanWetzel). It’s a place for me to try out jokes, make humorous posts about the sports world in general, and beat my chest when the Wildcats are winning (which is quite often lately, I am pretty intolerable recently). I’ve been on Twitter for a littler more than 2 years and you can probably tell by my more than 11,000 tweets that I am probably on there a little too much.
The sports fans that I have met on Twitter has been my favorite part of this phenomenon we call “Social Media”, I love them all dearly, and appreciate the opportunity to share my nonsense with them 140 characters at a time. 4 months ago, my father in law and lifelong UK die hard, Bruce Mann passed away suddenly at the age of 55. He was a main reason I got into comedy, he was my number one fan and he loved our boys in blue. When he passed, my Twitter family were quick to send their prayers and comments my way. Proving that Twitter is more than just an online community, my timeline in particular, is a virtual family.
