At his media opportunity today, John Calipari was asked about his recent statement that Doron Lamb was the team’s best basketball player. “Here’s what I meant by that,” Cal answered.
He said Lamb isn’t the fastest. He’s not the biggest. He’s not the best with the ball.
“But he has a feel for the game and he lets the game come to him,” said the coach.
He said that if Lamb shows up in shape, and improves with the ball, he can be a top 15 player this season.
