Before today’s practice, Kentucky coach John Calipari told the media he had not talked to his team about NCAA Tournament seedings. Instead, Cal said he thought his team’s RPI was high enough they would be fine. He’s more interested in finishing games and avoiding the shaky start his team had against Mississippi State.
Asked about three-point defense, Calipari said it was not a concern. He did say, however, that South Carolina is a team that takes a lot of threes. The Cats play South Carolina on Saturday. He also talked about he never downplayed his teams, and that may mean he is asking them to do too much. But he said that’s the way he has always coached.

sorta like the guy on MAD Magazine.
“What, me worry?”
Four million a year a plan for sending young men to the NBA. What more could you ask for?
We don’t want championships, just the fact he can sit around some day and brag about all the players he put into the big time.
I’m still waiting to hear who Todd and Barnhart talked to about Cal when his school was under investigation at Memphis. The NCAA said no one would comment on a coach or school while an investigation is going on but low and behold, Todd and Mitch said they did. Whata think? Who’s telling the truth?
What difference does it make who they talked to, that is in the past. He has only been here one and half years and you are complaining about not wining championships. What in the HE1l do you expect in 1 1/2 yrs ??? At least we are getting the best recruits and will have a chance at the National Championships which is better than the previous coaches were giving us. Give Calipari a chance before you start complaining.
it is a shame to always hear the whining…..and memphis stuff, salary crap, blah, blah
at least the years are fun again. just making a run every year at the championship makes March Madness fun again. The time will come when all the pieces are there and everything falls together.
