With reports that last week’s guest, Larry Brown, may have overstepped NCAA rules while watching UK practice, coach John Calipari jokes with Joe B. Hall on Monday about Hall watching/participating in the team’s practices. Joe takes a little rib at our own Jerry Tipton, who is off camera, but Jerry did laugh.
i cant wait until tipton is gone. then i will re subscribe to the HL.

I don’t live in Kentucky but If I were a lot of people close to lexington I would drop the paper unless I just wanted to read what Tipton would come up with next. Ha
Tipton is terrible John and everytime you say that he laughed or defend him, you are hurting yourself! I just cancelled my LHL I am done!

I HATE TIPTON!
Not subscribing is not nothing, because it removes eyeballs from advertisements. But the paper doesn’t live and die by subscriptions. You could make more impact by not buying from LHL advertisers, and letting the advertisers know why. Harder to do, but it’s what would actually make a differnce.
LHL really should tell Mr. Tipton to ease up on the Negative spin….they think bad news sells…..Mr. Tipton doesn’t need to turn his head from wrongdoings….but…he needs to use commen sense……and report what is wrong after he gets his facts like a true Journalist….i.e. (Patterson SUV)..he has a blantant disrespect for UK…..Report Facts and Stories from Behind the Scenes that are sports related…not personal (unless they are Major infractions)….Mr. Tipton is a glass is half empty writer….always looking for the least little thing UK does wrong…..and it is a shame…How many readers does he have to lose before LHL realizes the damage done??
If we do something wrong, it should be reported and delt with, but Tipton is a guy that goes negative far too often. We have to fight it from the Thammel’s and Forde’s of the world. We shouldn’t have to fight it at home.
If he were interesting or entertaining, it would be a little different, but as it stands, Jerry comes off as the old man shaking his fist at the kids to get off his grass. He really needs to be let go or shipped to Indiana to work.
