He was right. No one left. Even though it was evident that we had won early in the game. We are UK fans. Fans don’t leave when we are and we don’t leave if we are down.
We have some amazing talent this year. Some have come back from last year, and some are new recruits. I love the fact that they are playing as a team and not just one player. United we stand. Divided we fall. We are a united UK and will stand the test of time.

Sorry about that. I meant to say “Fans don’t leave when we are UP and we don’t leave if we are down”.

Without doubt, UK fans are the best on the planet. We will suffer through miserable seasons and still lead the nation in attendance. Amazing!

and that’s also the beauty of being a fan of the Big Blue…we consider 22 win seasons to be miserable…was watching the telecast of the Drexel game on ESPNU and at halftime they showed the Virginia/NJIT score…NJIT apparently played their 100th game tonight as a Division I school…and were going for their 10th win…they didn’t get it…that’s a record of 9-91…at that rate, they will have suffered through 20,000 losses before reaching what we reached tonight in roughly 2632 games…even the miserable seasons we suffer through (only one losing season in the last 80 years) is still better than most teams best seasons…which is why UK is UK…and even though Cal said that this team wasn’t a big part of the 2000 wins (less than 1%), the fact that this team got us there before UNC means something…and the fact that Cal has us poised for another renaissance of championship seasons and banner hanging, my hope is that Cal, when #2500 is reached in another 18 years (do the math–with more games being added every year and the fact that at Memphis Cal had 127 wins in his last 4 years) will still be patrolling the sidelines and we will have surpassed UCLA in titles and UNC in Tournament wins so that I don’t have to argue with anyone about those two little blotches on UK’s legacy…I want to go to my grave being #1 in all the categories…and I think it can be done…
