He reminds me of the little league baseball parent-coach that insists on putting their child(in this case, Newton) at postions or in situations in which they can't perform. Its obvious that the team can move the ball behind Locke, Cobb and Conner; so why ignore them when the game is on the line and go to Newton? Phillips' shoulders this lose alone. Where's Jay Fiddler?
