If we couldn’t do it this year, how can we do it next year in a rebuilding year. I haven’t seen as poor a quaterback showing by any other SEC quaterback than I have witnessed by ours the last few games. And don’t tell me he is a freshman - Anybody been watching Michigan this year.
Seriously how can you not put your best player at the helm with a chance to break a 24 year streak. Rather we put a freshman who can’t make a decision. Outcoached by a guy even Al Davis didn’t want.
Enough is enough. Chick-Fila’s for everyone and we can eat them at the Liberty Bowl. Come on Joker, crunch time is not when you experiment with an unproven quarterback.
how could brooks/joker put newton back in at qb.he can’t handle presure, needs to hang up strap. what were they thinking let’s build his confidince for next year.
I can’t f**king believe it!!! I’m so p**sed right now that my hands are shaking so much that I can hardly type. When we blew the Miss. State Game I was furious. But this? IS JOKER CALLING THIS OFFENSE? IF SO, HE’S A MORON!!! I can’t believe it. I’m stunned. I just … I don’t know what the hell to say.
What the h*ll happened? I mean, we recover the fumble, late in the game down by three, and WE’RE MOVING THE BALL WITH RANDALL. I’m so psyched.
And then they basically take Randall out of the mix and turn the game over TO A FRESHMAN!!! And then we collapse. Honestly, I believe that our staff mistakenly believed that the game was tied because we looked like we were playing to kick a FG. We didn’t even look like we wanted to win. I’m so f**king embarrassed.
And then in overtime… again WHERE’S RANDALL???? Newton’s good, but he’s a freshman, you morons!!! Hmmm … let’s see … Freshman or All American? Freshman or All American… who do we pick: the freshman. It’s idiotic. I mean, in 24 years, we haven’t been able to beat UT with senior QBs and you think that we can do it with a freshman QB???
And then, to top things off, we run the option? Are you f**king kidding me? What the hell???? Damnation, how many 5-yard losses do we have to pile up before you morons realize that the option isn’t working??? A team is either an option team or it isn’t. And WE ISN’T. I’m so f**king p**sed!!!
Joker’s a good recruiter and a stand up guy, but when he’s the head coach, I PRAY TO GOD that he turns the play calling over to somebody else, because he sucks at it.
Kentucly is a class act…
Our coaches and players did their best but came up short. They and we have nothing to hang our heads down about. For those of us that have played and enjoy and understand the game know the heartbreak but also recognize how far we have come…This season has been historic for all the right reasons. Thanks Kats and Coach and staff
For the life of me, I don’t understand why Newton carried on 3rd down in the last minute of the game - WHY NOT COBB?? - why not play TO WIN, rather than settle for OT - but, the bottom line is our “O” had ZERO passing game all night (Newton was pretty bad throwing tonight) and there was ZERO “O” in the 2nd half and OT for the Cats - however, we’ll never know if we would have won in regulation, because our coaching staff didn’t put the ball in the hands of our BEST player on that 3rd down play! too much Newton and not enough Cobb - I don’t understand it!
We are stuck in a bad marriage with Joker for as far as the eye can see. Why can’t we bring in a big time coach and beat Tennessee? Are we trying to save money for basketball shorts?
This coaching staff is responsible for three losses this year. Joker sucks at calling plays, and Brooks needsto over rule him when he can not get the easy ones right.
Hire a big time Calipari kind of coach for our football team. The fans deserve much better!
Wow…Football is a game that is played from end zone to end zone…not side line to side line…if we can not throw the ball down the field then we might as well skip the bowl…we will not win
I completely agree with Ashley. We must look at a big time coach. The three losses that could have been wins, (TN, SC, MS), all were lost due to coaching. If Joker is the guy, he will only continue to low level bowl streak we seem to be destined to go to every year.
If Newton is the best we can field in the way of a quarterback we are in trouble. I agree this is one of the worst showings for a quarterback I’ve seen. It may well have been a much different outcome had the receivers at least had a chance at a ball that was catchable. Most throws were behind, over their heads or just didn’t see the open man. And we did have some wide open receivers and just awful pass attempts. I would like to see what we could have done had Fiddler been given a chance.

This one is CLEARLY on the coaches. The players made plays. You gotta put them in a position to succeed.
And Joker is our coach of the future. How sad.
Great game, but we scored 21 points basically off the run. What was with the 2nd. half passing game?

Sorry about the expletive-filled rant, John. Feel free to delete it.

I totally agree with you Ashley! We need to re-think this coach in-waiting!
