As you may have read, Rich Brooks got a little hot under the collar today when the media asked whether this would the Kentucky coach’s final Senior Day. It was an obvious question, what with Joker Phillips already designated as successor. And I didn’t think Rich was upset when Alan Cutler asked the original question. But Brooks did become perturbed when a follow-up question was asked, especially when the question interrupted a Brooks’ answer to another question. Then when the press conference was over, Brooks added a postscript, in an emphatic fashion.
Here is WLEX’s video report:

What a stupid question to ask , but thaTS Alan for you. When the time comes the press will most likely be the first to know. In the mean time lets win some ball games
Had the good fortune of traveling down to Athens for the game. What a great town, campus, and venue for college football…and what a fantastic finish for our boys in blue. It was a special, special night – has to be one of the best road wins in the last 25 years.
John was right in his column today – in the old days the blocked punt would have been a GA first down…the third in goal would have gone for a touchdown…but it didn\’t.
What kind of season might this be if we can beat UT and be 8-4!
Alan is dumb and dumber. The press wants to create distractions so that Kentucky can’t concentrate on the real issue at hand, namely Tennessee. It is most obvious that most of the print media and TV media are not supportive of Kentucky. Why not pack all of them up and send them to Rocky Top. We would be better off then.
