Received an e-mail from G.H. today who is still not impressed by Kentucky’s showing this football season.
“Braggin” was how he titled this e-mail:

If I had 31 points scored on me in one quarter like Kentucky did against Florida I don’t believe I would be bragging it up like you did in today’s column.. I guess you would say adjustments were made at the end of the quarter as Florida only scored 10 more points for the rest of the game. I say Florida could have beat Kentucky 100 – 0 if they would have kept the pedal to the metal. I say Auburn would have beat Kentucky if they would have gotten a decent break from the officials (no penalties in 60 minutes of SEC football, get real)and Kentucky was just lucky as heck to beat Georgia getting out gained 487 yards to 260 yards. The way I see it Kentucky is the usual 5-6 quality Rich Brooks team.

3 of the 4 Georgia turnovers were forced by UK. Yardage doesn’t mean much when you turn it over. Besides, they don’t keep score by yardage. It has to do with this thing called “points.” We are 7-4 and ready to finish second in the SEC East.
It sounds like this genius thinks UK is one play away from being 0-11.
Sounds like another typical illiterate, uneducated “fan” to me.
Amazing how every time a fan’s team loses a game it was the referee’s fault.

I think that guy sits behind me at Commonwealth – and I’m sick of hearing him too. Isn’t that the point though – UK always was 3-8 to 5-6 and had all of the breaks fall against us, now we get some coming our way and this goober is griping. 7-4 is 7-4, W or L’s are all that matter and I’ll take a win any way I get, never seen an ugly win yet.

The same argument could be used for why UK has been 5-6 in the past. If UK hadn’t thrown this interception or that fumble, or the refs had done this or that, or if the other team hadn’t scored more points than UK. UK would have been an 8-4 team all those years, blah blah blah. You got beat, accept it, get used to it, try harder next time. I’m just glad to see it’s someone else’s turn for a change.
