Here is John Calipari’s post-game press conference after UK’s 74-38 win over Campbellsville at Rupp Arena.
Calipari said that UK played about 10 good possessions of defense out of 48 possessions. He lamented his team’s turnovers, and said that players weren’t trying to take it to the basket like he wants. He praised Mark Krebs for being the only one who did that. But he said it was pretty much expected.

The word “turnovers” is kind of funny. Didn’t UK have the same problem last year? Oh wait that was all suppose to change because there was a coach change. Regardless of how talented the players or the coach if the players cannot hold on to the ball UK will loss the games pure and simple. Just like last season except it could be worse.
I think once Wall begins to run this offense it will be just fine. I was really impressed with the quickness on defense in the man to man.
There is no doubt that this is a very talented team. They just need the right point guard to guide them.
I loved it when Coach Cal told Jerry Tipton what his next article will be. Nice gental slap. Way to go Coach Cal!!!
