Kentucky wants the fans to wear black for Saturday’s Halloween Homecoming football game with Mississippi State.
The players want to wear black uniforms.
The head coach, Rich Brooks, said Monday, “I haven’t seen black in our school colors.”
So where do you stand? Would black unis be a great idea for Halloween? Or is wearing black too much like what U of L does in football, or Duke does in basketball?
Although with this team at this time, I can’t think of anymore appropriate colors than black-and-blue.

Sure, why not? As long as they mix in a little blue with it.
NO, NO, AND NO. Why on earth would we want the “Big Blue” to wear black. The Big Black. No way.
I think that it would be intimidating as hell for Mississippi State. Also, it might give the team a mental uplift for the game.
Why have school colors if they aren’t worn? I will always remember my grandmother being agitated at parents who give their children double names only to call them by an abreviated version or worse yet, to her, a nickname.
I couldn’t care less and I am disappointed that this has turned into a controversy. Just *win* the freakin’ game for crying out loud…
Maybe wearing the black uniforms would be a way to solve the coal controversy.
They could work the word coal in somewhere. Just kidding. I vote no. The black basketball uni’s were ok, but I think we did lose. We don’t need any more bad karma.
