Your recent article was critical of the ESPN-SEC contract. I live in central New York and all I can tell you is that I have seen all three games thus far this year (that is a first) and will watch UK vs Alabama today. I don’t care if the commentators and camera crews are amateurish, I’m getting to watch the Cats routinely for the first time ever.

Can you explain how it is that KY continues to make serious mistakes on special teams (think UT blocked field goal, FL blocked punts, AL fake field goal to name just a few of the more memorable/recent examples) without changing the special teams coach? Frank Beamer certainly has helped Va Tech ascend to college football’s elite with his special team play. UK’s situation is inexcusable. Thoughts?
