<description>I love this &quot;Southern&quot;boy. Being born in Florida doesn&#039;t make one &quot;Southern&quot;.
Too many people in Florida came from &quot;some place else&quot;. I don&#039;t care when they got there - they are still from &quot;some place else&quot;.
My husband and I have lived in Florida - off and on- for many, many years. We love that sunshine that God gave them (Floridians didn&#039;t invent it!) in the winter time, but we are Kentuckians, born and bred, and I don&#039;t care how many football or basketball players that Florida raises or imports, I shall still be a Kentuckian when it comes to my teams.
I suppose it happens that a lot of other people love that winter sunshine and warmth also, but they will never know that wonderful feeling that comes with watching a few Kentucky boys - plus a few imports on occasion- take home a trophy. You have to have been born here to really know that feeling.
I am sorry for those Floridians. They have too much else interfering in their minds to know that feeling.
