Clay Matvick and David Diaz-Infante
ESPN has plucked a pair of unkowns from its deep stable of announcers for Saturday’s UK-U of L game for ESPNU.
Clay Matvick will be doing play-by-play.
David Diaz-Infante will be doing color.
And you’re saying: Who?
You’re probably saying that even after the duo did the UK-Miami of Ohio game back on Sept. 5.
Turns out Matvick is a 36-year-old from Minnesota who has his own web site, which alas, is under construction.
Diaz-Infante is a 35-year-old former offensive guard and center for the Chargers, Broncos and Eagles. He also does color on the Broncos’ radio network, and had a sports talk show in Denver with Mark “Stink” Schlereth.
