The Media Approval Ratings — that’s MRAs, not to be confused with the Kanye West-killing VMAs — are back, and with this being the college grid-head season, we now turn to the guys, and gals, who bring us college football on the tube this fall.
We’ll start with former Lexington resident Todd Blackledge, who went to Tates Creek Junior High School while his father Ron was an assistant on Fran Curci’s staff at UK. After departing Lexington, Todd went on to become an All-American quarterback at Penn State and a first-round draft pick of the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs. His pro career never gained traction, but Todd has made a name for himself in the booth as an analyst, first at CBS and now ESPN, where this year he has been teamed with Brad Nessler.
Todd also does a “Taste of the Town” feature on where to eat at various college football locations.
What say you on Todd Blackledge, thumbs-up or thumbs-down?
