Did anyone read DUI call? Not defending anyone, but the call is a little strange or odd to me. Of course everything is odd if it relates to news about current or former Kentucky basketball coaches these days I think.
The person was a gas station employee from a gas station. The employee was just pretty sure he was drunk. Was the employee trying to prevent a accident or did the person know whom she likely getting arrested? Was it even company policy to call the police if you think a drunk driver is driving? I have worked at businesses where I wished I could of done things too, but couldn’t because of company policy.
If people think that so-so gas station in Anderson County will call police if they think you are drunk, then what else do they think the gas station will do? No I don’t want any employee fired for possible breaking company policy or any gas station to lose business.
As for Billy, UK’s former coach. He needs help to get his life straighten out, one way or another. I wish UK fans would stop the teasing, laughing, or feeling sorry for anyone. No one is perfect, sorry Coach Cal. Some people sins are just more public than others.
Anyone, anywhere, working for any company should call the police if they feel someone is driving while intoxicated. If that employee chose not to call, perhaps Billy would have seriously injured or killed someone else due to his reckless decision. Calling in a suspected drunk driver is not something to be taken lightly. Don’t think about it, just call.
