Hi, I know this is old…but I am a devout Tennesse fan from Newport, TN. There is a story circulating that John Crompton was saved and became a christian recently and at a service the congregation was asked to take off their shoes and the shoes were sent to folks in Africa who had no shoes…..further more John returned later with a sack of shoes he collected at UT. It’s a lovely story but I would like to know it is true before passing it along. Can you help?
