ESPNU’s SEC Weekly debuts Thursday

This just in from the PR arm at the WWL.

SEC Weekly Debuts on ESPNU on Thursday, Aug. 27

On Thursday, Aug. 27, ESPNU will debut its new studio show SEC Weekly. The one-hour program will air Thursdays at 4:30 p.m. throughout the academic year and will cover SEC sports, including sport-by-sport previews, reviews, specials and features on student-athletes. The show will be hosted by Cara Capuano, who will anchor, and new analyst Matt Stinchcomb, a former University of Georgia All-America and NFL player.

The first edition of SEC Weekly will preview the SEC Eastern Division and showcase the defending national champion Florida Gators and their senior quarterback Tim Tebow. The inaugural show will also take a look at first-year coach Lane Kiffin and his Tennessee Volunteers, and the Georgia Bulldogs’ fifth-year senior quarterback Joe Cox. The show will also feature a profile on Georgia football legend Herschel Walker and women’s soccer player Carrie Patterson.

SEC Weekly is a product of ESPN’s landmark 15-year agreement with the Southeastern Conference. ESPNU will complement the show with SEC game telecasts, including football, basketball, Olympic sports and select conference championships.

Am I really going to have to spring for ESPNU?

ESPNU should part of your employment package. Turn in a reimbursement form. I mean, how are you going to do your job?

If that doesn’t work, you can at least deduct it from your taxes as an unreimubursed business expense. That may not be worth much though of a deduction though.

Really, Tim Tebow weekly? That is funny. Others are so jealous. You guys at ESPN, come on. The Florida Gators are national champions two out of the last three years. Rated #1 in the nation and in the SEC. For 45 minutes of your show NEVER mentioned UF. The program is about the SEC right? All this crap about Georgia and Vanderbilt? Vanderbilt? I finally turned the show off. Where’s the coverage.

On your other ESPN shows you Notre Dame, Michigan and Ohio State us to DEATH!! On and On and On about it. I guess all of your executive people in ESPN are grads from those schools. It would figure.

And what’s with Cara Capuano’s wardrobe? She looked like she was going to a funeral. She needs all the help she can get. Erin Andrews she isn’t. Get with the program.
